The aim of this project is to support 19 to 24 year-old young people who have completed their compulsory schooling but have not been able to secure a company-based apprenticeship by offering them supra-company apprenticeships. The programme participants are supported before, during and after the start of their apprenticeship with intensive individual counselling, which aims to help them transition to a company-based apprenticeship or job.

Boys’ Day

The aim of this project is to encourage teenage boys to take up an “untypical male” profession, e.g. in the care or teaching sector. By doing so, it breaks with stereotypes about gendered professions. Male role models are actively involved in diverse information events and workshops, working directly with the target group as well as with multipliers and stakeholders, such as parents, teachers or youth coaches.

The aim of this programme is to provide small loans (micro loans) to persons willing and able to start a business who are either at risk of losing their job, are in a precarious employment situation, or are unemployed without a verifiable credit history. Advice and support are offered i.e., to  develop a business concept, to draw up financial plans, or to develop entrepreneurial skills.


Fair Plus Cleaning – Promotion of female employees in the cleaning sector

The aim of this project is to support the unemployed, especially migrants and refugees, in a technically sustainable way, to become sustainably self-employed. Youth, digitalisation and gender equality: qualitative research

This study is based on focus group interviews with adolescents aged 15-18 and interviews with experts in the fields of digitalisation, youth and gender. It was implemented in 10 EU Member States. The qualitative research focused on (i) identifying and analysing gender-related opportunities created by digital technologies, (ii) identifying gender-related risks of digitalisation, and (iii) formulating policy recommendations in the field.

Radicalisation and violent extremism: focus on women

This study examines the role of women in the context of radicalisation and violent extremism, both as active members or advocates of terrorism and as agents of change in the fight against terrorism. The aim of this project is to contribute to increasing attendance rates at all levels of education, especially the attendance rates of girls at secondary level for vocational schooling and training, and to bring students (especially girls) who are out of the education system back into the system. Enhancing the Employment of Vulnerable Groups

Based on literature review and the collection of new data, this study analyses the progress made in achieving a fairer proportion of women and men in political, economic and social decision-making in the EU Member States. It suggests new indicators and provides policy recommendations in the field. A further report identifies and describes good practices in the field of women’s participation in political decision-making.

c´monAPP serves as an additional counselling service for young participants in the inter-company apprenticeship training (ÜBA) with the aim to stabilise endangered training courses and to enable young people to enter the first job market. By designing and implementing a holistic entrepreneur support scheme for young refugees in the partner countries the project aims at creating self-employment possibilities and enhanced integration into local communities. The project is based on a mix of training, counselling, mentoring, PR activities, analysis/ research as well as national and international exchange of experts and stakeholders.
