Unisono – Development and implementation of employment cooperatives

The aim of this project is to assist unemployed people age 50 or older to set up their own companies through employment cooperatives. In addition, this approach imbeds the participants in a social network which further stabilises them. Support includes counselling and workshops which cover a wide scope of issues related to entrepreneurial skills. Moreover, technical assistance is provided during the implementation of the cooperative.

The aim of this programme is to provide small loans (micro loans) to persons willing and able to start a business who are either at risk of losing their job, are in a precarious employment situation, or are unemployed without a verifiable credit history. Advice and support are offered i.e., to  develop a business concept, to draw up financial plans, or to develop entrepreneurial skills.

The aim of this project is to support the unemployed, especially migrants and refugees, in a technically sustainable way, to become sustainably self-employed. Services include workshops on key entrepreneurial skills, such as the development of feasible business plans, finance plans, legal issues, marketing, etc. In addition, workshops are also held in languages spoken by the largest migrant communities in Vienna.

This project serves as a preparatory measure for persons entitled to asylum or subsidiary protection participating in the Business Start-up Programme. Its objective is to enable individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit for participation in regular start-up courses and empower them to become successfully self-employed. Services offered include specific business vocabulary training as well as basic information on entrepreneurship.

Electronic Business Foundation and Registration

The aim of this project is to familiarise future entrepreneurs with a new e-government tool, which allows for the possibility of electronically registering a start-up business. A help desk is set up as part of the project, which provides practical assistance to entrepreneurs, including first eligibility checks, assistance with the issuance of an electronic signature, and online registration of the company with all relevant authorities via Austria´s Company Service Portal.


Entrepreneurship Lab – Business Skills for a modern business world 4.0

Fostering Social Entrepreneurship

The overall objective of this project is to improve the inclusiveness of the labour market by creating new job opportunities by stimulating socio-economic initiatives. In this context, services such as training and coaching are provided to the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and other stakeholders, and practical need-based support is offered to selected social entrepreneurs.

The aim of this project is to contribute to the increased employability of the labour force through the reduction of the gap between the education and labour systems. By designing and implementing a holistic entrepreneur support scheme for young refugees in the partner countries the project aims at creating self-employment possibilities and enhanced integration into local communities. The project is based on a mix of training, counselling, mentoring, PR activities, analysis/ research as well as national and international exchange of experts and stakeholders.
