Boys' Day

The aim of this project is to encourage teenage boys to take up an "untypical male" profession, e.g. in the care or teaching sector. By doing so, it breaks with stereotypes about gendered professions. Male role models are actively involved in diverse information events and workshops, working directly with the target group as well as with multipliers and stakeholders, such as parents, teachers or youth coaches.

Fair Plus Cleaning - Promotion of female employees in the cleaning sector

The outcomes and outputs of Fair Plus Cleaning include (1) a study on the actual situation of women in the cleaning sector, (2) the creation of possibilities for enhanced qualification and career planning in the cleaning sector, (3) enhanced work conditions, (4) the initiation of gender and diversity measures in the cleaning sector, and (5) business consultancy aiming at the promotion of women and equal opportunities.

Focus on equal pay: Income 4.0

Equal Pay focuses on business consulting and gradual business support in addressing gender pay gaps, developing tools to enhance the fair assessment of labour input, transparent discussions on salary components, and the implementation of concrete action plans. It is based on legally required income reports (companies with more than 150 employees), but also on other motivating factors (for smaller companies).

Living Environment.Profession (Lebenswelt.Beruf)

This project addresses challenges related to achieving a work-life-balance with a focus on women. By analysing and addressing regions in the Provincial Government of Salzburg as well as companies, a variety of activities (awareness raising, advising, and the development of outcome-oriented approaches) should help to improve the compatibility of work and family life.

Mutual Learning Programme in Gender Equality

The aim of this programme is to strengthen mutual learning and the exchange of information on gender equality issues between EU Member States. The seminars support evidence-based policymaking and stimulate discussion between governmental and independent experts and stakeholders. They address issues such as equal economic independence, equal pay for equal work and work of equal value, equality in decision-making, and combatting gender-based violence.


Youth, digitalisation and gender equality: qualitative research

This study is based on focus group interviews with adolescents aged 15-18 and interviews with experts in the fields of digitalisation, youth and gender. It was implemented in 10 EU Member States. The qualitative research focused on (i) identifying and analysing gender-related opportunities created by digital technologies, (ii) identifying gender-related risks of digitalisation, and (iii) formulating policy recommendations in the field.


Radicalisation and violent extremism: focus on women

This study examines the role of women in the context of radicalisation and violent extremism, both as active members or advocates of terrorism and as agents of change in the fight against terrorism. Building on existing research and findings and exploring in more detail the pathways of radicalisation of women and girls, this research focuses especially on violent jihadism in Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.


Mapping the representation of women and men in legal professions across the EU

This study provides a picture of the existing gender situation in various legal professions in the EU, highlights areas where women or men are currently underrepresented, analyses the underlying reasons, and formulates clear and concrete policy recommendations at European and national levels on improving gender balance in legal professions as well as education in law.


Technical Assistance for "Increasing School Attendance Rates Especially for Girls"

The aim of this project is to contribute to increasing attendance rates at all levels of education, especially the attendance rates of girls at secondary level for vocational schooling and training, and to bring students (especially girls) who are out of the education system back into the system. Services include e.g., capacity building, awareness-raising training, conducting surveys, organising meetings, and providing policy reports.


Study on area G of the Beijing Platform for Action - Women in Power and Decision-making

Based on literature review and the collection of new data, this study analyses the progress made in achieving a fairer proportion of women and men in political, economic and social decision-making in the EU Member States. It suggests new indicators and provides policy recommendations in the field. A further report identifies and describes good practices in the field of women's participation in political decision-making.


Collection of good practices on reconciliation of work, family and private life in EU Member States

This study identifies and analyses good practices and effective and innovative policies and initiatives in the area of reconciliation of work, private and family life in the EU Member States. It focuses on three main areas: (i) employer-based self-regulation, (ii) awareness-raising, and (iii) benchmarking. The comprehensive policy review focuses on key developments in this area at EU level and on the analysis of key challenges and gaps.
