The programme aims at increasing the employability of refugees granted the status of asylum eligibility and persons eligible for subsidiary protection. This is achieved by providing individual job counselling, social pedagogic support and qualification assistance to achieve job-readiness, job placements and social integration.

The objective of this project is to contribute to the implementation of the National Employment and Strategy (NESS) action plan 2019–2022 through support in the following areas:

  1. Support to strengthen the capacities of the National Agency for Employment and Skills  in designing, delivering and monitoring high quality employment programmes and services, targeted to the needs of the unemployed jobseekers, as per the New Service Model
  2. Support the National Employment and Skills Agency in elaborating a medium-term development plan for providers of vocational education and training and developing mechanisms to improve strategic planning, to improve quality of VET offer and measure impact of VET policies.

 


Work | Counselling | Orientation Youth including ‘Girls’ Pilots’ (2018-2019)

The target group consists of young people registered at the Public Employment Service of Vienna. They are provided intense and continuous coaching with the aim of integrating them sustainably into the labour market or preparing them for other services offered in Vienna, thereby also acting as a platform for the coordination of internship and apprenticeship training. This contract also provides “Girls’ Pilots” to prepare young women for a special VET programme (apprenticeship) provided by the Public Employment Service Austria for those who have problems finding an apprenticeship position or who discontinued apprenticeships.

The aim of this project is to support employment and social inclusion of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable groups. A variety of guidance measures will improve the performance of local stakeholders, who will then be able to identify the needs of the unemployed and design tailor-made measures. The overarching objective is to create sustainable administrative capacity for the design and implementation of active labour market policies.


B.A.S.I.C.

Refugees granted the status of asylum eligibility and persons eligible for subsidiary protection (= refugees with a preliminary residence title) aged at least 25 years were prepared for the integration into the labour market. The target group was supported with competence checks, social pedagogic counselling, social and personal competence trainings, on-the-job trainings and job placement.
