Active Labour Market Policy (ALMP) is a key element of a flexible labour market with more and better jobs. The policy mix of ALMP includes a set of approaches aiming at increasing employment rates with job creation measures (e.g. start-up schemes), wage subsidies, placement and counselling services, labour market training, etc. ALMP is a core task of Public Employment Services, and specialised services are often contracted out to external service providers.
